The standard being aimed at

WCAG 2.1 Level AA. That means text contrast is measured rather than eyeballed, every control can be reached and operated from a keyboard, form fields carry real labels rather than placeholder text pretending to be labels, and the page still works at 200 percent zoom.

What is built in

• A skip link to the main content as the first focusable element on every page
• One h1 per page and headings that descend in order, so a screen reader can navigate by structure
• Navigation dropdowns and the mobile drawer operable by keyboard, with aria-expanded kept accurate and Escape closing them
• Motion, including the hero settle and the scroll reveals, disabled entirely under prefers-reduced-motion
• Decorative graphics, including the seams and the swoosh, marked aria-hidden so they are not announced
• Tap targets sized for a thumb rather than a cursor

Known gaps

Form error handling has not been walked through with a screen reader, so we are not claiming it is clean. Photographic alt text describes the subject of each image rather than repeating the heading next to it.
